80 Miles of Neighborhoods Destroyed
Long Beach, Mississippi. This photo shows a whole neighborhood where the wreckage from houses destroyed by Katrina had been removed. What was left were tons of smaller bits and pieces of homes and lives that the heavy equipment didn't remove. Trash was everywhere. Many homeowners did not come back and did not rebuild.
